CareFirst Information Technology M&A Lead (Hybrid) in Baltimore, Maryland

Resp & Qualifications

PURPOSE

The Information Technology Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Lead will play a critical role in the design and evaluation of data and systems architecture related to Corporate Development and strategic initiatives. The role is in support of the Corporate Development team and partners with various stakeholders to perform IT due diligence, evaluate current and future architecture, process flows, IT operating model and manage integration planning and execution.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Conduct IT/technology and cyber due diligence evaluation at various stages of the M&A lifecycle.

  • Develop and execute integration plans for IT/technology systems and infrastructure post-acquisition.

  • Evaluate current and future architecture, applications & systems, operating model and process flows, including network design and data centers.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in IT integration and M&A activity to inform strategic planning and decision making.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree

Education Details: Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field

Experience: 6-8 years of experience in IT consulting, technology due diligence, IT controls/compliance, or M&A integration roles.

In Lieu of Education

In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS, preferably in an IT-related discipline.

  • Relevant experience and certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, ITIL) are a plus.

  • Understanding of common healthcare technology systems is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Ability to manage long-term projects meeting deadlines and ensuring compliance.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Must demonstrate flexibility, innovation and problem-solving skills and resourcefulness.

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to interface with senior leaders in the business.

Salary Range: $124,128 - $246,532
